5.0 out of 5 stars Real Life Accounts of the Most Important Time of Our Generation Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2022

This is history spoken by those who were there, literally in the trenches. These first hand accounts include the tragedy of how we treated our veterans when they came home from Vietnam as well as the lasting harm suffered by those who served.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you Brothers for your stories Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2021

As a NAVY Vietnam Veteran, I thank those 100 Brothers who have told us their stories. I am so thankful and grateful that I was stationed aboard a tin can firing our 5in38`s along the Vietnam coast. It’s just so hard to relate to you guys, living in such harsh conditions. Sleeping, eating in mud and dirt during the monsoons and the heat of Summer. No amount of words to express my thanks to you all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2020

This book is really interesting. I recommend this book to anyone interested in what it was really like in Vietnam. Nearly all of the contributors ended up with severe illnesses related to agent orange, even if they were away from the spraying themselves.

I am always amazed at how teenagers and those in their early twenties can take on such important, difficult, and dangerous tasks. They gave their nation everything they could, even if they were drafted. They are heroes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just A Simple Review Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2018

I am one of the veterans whose story is included in this book. When Bill sent a draft to us, those whose stories are included, I naturally went to mine and did the corrections. I then started reading all the stories. Although it has been nearly 50 years since I left Vietnam, reading some of the accounts brought tears to my eyes. I did not have the homecoming that at least some other Vietnam veterans had, being spit on, called baby killer or worse. What happened to me was the indifference from most of the public. I say most because my parents, friends and the girl who later became my wife treated me well and attempted to show interest for something that they had no idea of what had happened. As a result, I kept the feelings I had secret. I even forgot the names of some of my comrades and particularly, the name of the door gunner whose body I carried after we were shot down. This book is better than good and I recommend it to anyone whose brother, father, mother, wife, cousin, sister, etc. served there.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars for this book! Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2018

I have read several books in which veterans tell their stories and no one can tell your story, like you know it. Bill Brown, the author, has really out done himself on this book. He has covered the veterans early background, how they went into the service, and how they served in country using their military training. This book is truly an amazing mixture of men, women, and cultures, that are profiled. I feel so strong about this book and all it’s intimate stories, that it should be required reading by all high school students in America. The fact that our country was in such turmoil over this unpopular war leaves many naive people to think that all veterans are blood thirsty maniacs. On the contrary, every single veteran profiled, came home and did their best to improve their lives and move on despite their nightmares and agent Orange disabilities. I highly recommend this book, especially for veterans, being currently discharged so they can see what is possible and attainable with their GI Bill benefits. To the ” 100″, welcome home!

All books can be found on Amazon and are available in Paperback, Hardback, Audible, Kindle, and Kindle Unlimited formats. All of my thriller novels are available in English, German, Spanish, Italian and soon in French editions. However, my non-fiction Vietnam books are only available in English.
