About

A native of Chicago, I received a BA from The University of Illinois in History and Russian Area studies, and a Master’s in City Planning. I served as a Company Commander in the US Army in Vietnam and became active in local and regional politics. As a Vice President of the real estate subsidiary of a Fortune 500 corporation, I traveled widely in Europe, Russia, China, and the Middle East, locations which have featured in my writing. I play bad golf, have become a dogged runner, and paint passable landscapes in oil and acrylic. Retired, my wife and I live in Florida.

With the recent addition of Burke’s Machete, I’m the author of eighteen books now available on most on-line book sites in e-book, paperback, hardback, box set, and audiobook editions in English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French. Two of are boxed sets and four books are my critically acclaimed nonfiction Our Vietnam Wars series, Volumes 1-4 of interviews and personal stories from Vietnam Wars vets about their experiences before, during, and after the war. My novels include the best-selling Bob Burke action-adventure series: Burke’s War, Burke’s Gamble, Burke’s Revenge, Burke’s Samovar, the new Burke’s Mandarin, and the soon-to-be-released Burke’s Rescue. Other individual thriller novels include Aim True My Brothers, Amongst My Enemies, Thursday at Noon, The Undertaker, and Winner Lose All.

In addition to the novels, I’ve written four award-winning screenplays. They’ve placed First in the suspense category of Final Draft, were a Finalist in Fade In, First in Screenwriter’s Utopia — Screenwriter’s Showcase Awards, Second in the American Screenwriter’s Association, Second at Breckenridge, and others. One was optioned for film. Visit Facebook account (opens in a new tab)
